I interviewed for a customer service position. I made sure to dress in business clothes for the interview and I was very prepared. The first step was a simulation assessment on the computer to see how you learn new computer systems and a typing speed test. I thought the simulation was extremely easy and I type around 70 wpm on average. The interviewer asked a few more typical interview questions before telling me he would forward my information to the hiring manager who would decide to proceed or not. I received the rejection email a few days later. For reference, I graduated from a university ranked in the top 20 in the US and have had past leadership, customer service and management experience.
There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO in May 2026
Interview
You first fill out an assessment test. The assessment test isn't difficult; there are a few parts to it. First is the reading tables section. It asks you a question about the table and based on that you pick one of the four answers. This part is timed so you want to pace yourself a little bit. The other part is picking the statement that describes you the best, then the second-best statement out of three statements. Overall, this did not take long.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO
