I applied online 8/6/19, I received an email on 8/7/19 requesting to schedule a phone interview I called the recruiter directly and a phone interview was scheduled for 8/10/19. On 8/10/19 I had a phone interview that lasted about 40 minutes. The interview was mostly about my skills, resume, and STAR base questions. I was invited to complete an online assessment, which I completed the same day 8/10/19. I received a call from the recruiter informing me that the assessment came back favorable, and was invited to come in for the next steps in the interview process. The recruiter informed me that on this day I should plan to be at Geico for a few hours. On 8/21/19 I arrived, once checked in I was given instructions on the first step I was placed in a room and given a typing test, and a simulations to test multitasking abilities, which came back favorable. Next, I was placed in a room and completed the second part of the assessment that I completed at home on 8/10/19, which came back favorable. I met with the recruiter that I spoke with over the phone, and was asked additional questions about my skills, and abilities. I then met with someone who hired with Geico from the MDP program, she ask STAR based questions, and I was able to get more insight on what to expect from the MDP program. I was moved to the next step which was a role-play. I was placed in a room and given material to study. I received 3 phone calls and had to provide good customer service, and sale the product on the material provide. I passed, and met with the person independently who completed the role over the phone and answered additional questions regarding the scenarios given. I was told the same day that I would move forward to shadow the sales team, and meet with management. I was informed that I will receive a call with further information at a later date. On 8/23/19 I received a call from the recruiter inviting me to come back on 8/27/19. On 8/27/19 I returned for the second phase of the interview. I met with one on the top sellers and listened in on serval calls, I documented all calls and asked questions in between. After I met with the manager of the sales team, and the manager for the MDP, both asked questions regarding my resume, and STAR based questions. I was then offered the position.
I know for some this may seem like a lot, but be prepare if you are seeking to work for a big organization that there are several steps. Be prepared to ask questions, be confident and friendly. The big miss step with the typing test and the simulation is overtaking, read the directions in the beginning and you will perform fine. Also do your research about Geico and the MDP if you apply.
