I applied online. I interviewed at Gartner (Gurgaon, Haryana)
Interview
Rather long, in a way that they tried to appear organized but it was as if they had no intention to hire anyone. The position had been open for 7-8 months prior to me getting a call, and then the final interview seemed like they wanted to get information about my previous organisation. How they functioned, road blocks etc. Only 1-3 basic skill question for me but that is it. The HR insisted there would be case study etc but none of that was asked. I spent a lot of time preparing. For a process which took months (from the initial HR phone call, to test, to HR prep, then the interview) I wish they could just make up their mind. Did not appreciate them wasting my time, showing no clarity and not giving the right information or responding on time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What issues did you face in your previous organization? How did they function? Tell me about a time you solved a problem. (it led to digging further into how the company functioned rather than my response). How do you conduct research? state the process etc.
Smooth first call from the recruiter with the basics discussed including fit checks and compensation overview. The second interview was online and seem pretty chilled too however I believe they require a specific type of fit and answers to progress. Best to prepare with the guide from the job posting and tailor your answers as best as possible.
This interview was for one of the Gartner subsidiary company. There was take home assessment. If you pass the assessment, there is an invitation to a in person interview to go over the assessment and ask additional questions.
I applied through college or university. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Gartner (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Feb 2025
Interview
There were 3 rounds- 1 HR and 2 business rounds. They focused mainly on the candidates understanding of secondary research and past work experience as well as situation based questions, going into very minute details. Also they preferred that we answer using STAR framework.
