I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Mill Valley, CA) in Jul 2014
Interview
Step 1: I had a 15 minute phone screen where I was asked about my past experience and interest in both sales and Glassdoor. I was given feedback at the end of the call which was great -- as it gave me something to improve on for my next interview.
Step 2: I was invited in to interview with 4 different people- each interview lasting around 30 minutes. Each interview was a little bit different but there were some common themes. My first two interviews were warm where the interviewers wanted to learn more about me, my past, interest and knowledge of Glassdoor. The third and fourth interview were a little more "intense." I was given some curve balls and asked some questions that I wasn't prepared for--- but that's going to happen in any and every interview. But I understood--- I had zero experience in both sales and working for a fast-growing company, and they were doing their do-diligence by hoping to find a candidate that stands out and can handle questions on the fly.
Step 3: Give a 15 minute presentation on yourself in front of the SDR team & managers. Honestly--- it was a bit nerve-racking at first. Why wouldn't it be? Give a presentation on myself in front of a room full of potential colleagues. The key here is to come prepared & be enthusiastic.
ADVICE:
- Your past experience is irrelevant: I came from an agriculture background-- no experience working in an office, being on the phone, using a computer all day long. The KEY is to prove to the interviewers that you have value to bring to the table--- that you will work your tail off and push others to be better.
- Be passionate: Be excited about Glassdoor and be excited to start your sales career in an innovative, forward thinking company. Everyone here believe's in Glassdoor and wants to be here--- so every interviewer should have the same mentality.
Thank you for your review on your interview experience. I love that you wrote about being passionate. When we get in front of prospects, passion goes a long way towards driving results and this is definitely something that we look for during our interview process.
Thank you,
Eric Gonzalez

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2020
Interview
I met Marijka and Caroline who made me feel so at ease from the second I walked in the door. They were both chatty and bubbly and allowed for a very open conversation. It was around my background and how my experience can relate to the position. A few competency based questions thrown in too. Mainly about what motivates you and your growth mindset. The interview was 45 minutes and the a 30 minute role play.

Interview
I had a phone screen with a recruiter who went through why I wanted to work there and general questions such as why I’m looking to move and my salary expectations etc. I then had a face to face interview with manager which was a 45 minute competency based interview and then a 15 minute qual call that I had to prepare for and I also had to prepare a question that was asked in the interview - how I would secure 100 opportunities in a quarter.
