I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GoHealth.

    Interview

It was thorough and welcoming. I had the opportunity to speak with all levels at the company as well as receive multiple tours of the space to familiarize myself with the various buildings/floors GoHealth has.

    Application

The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at GoHealth.

    Interview

A phone interview with a recruiter, then a 2 hour long interview with 3 different people. 1 GM and then 2 people who do who knows what because the same roles have multiple different names. The next step was 2 phone interviews with people in their home office, one of whom had the personality of a stick. At the end of the day, it's a call center, so it's bottom-rung to begin with. I interviewed because I'm newer to the area and was absolutely desperate to get something fast after my company downsized. I'm typically at a VP level and have been in the professional sector my entire career. A call center would be a huge step down, but I was willing to give it a go for the short term. However, I still want to feel good about where I work, and I just wouldn't at GoHealth. They let employees wear whatever they want. In my 30 minutes waiting to be interviewed, I saw exactly what you'd expect for a call center- the bottom of the barrel. I saw people wearing dirty, ripped sweat pants and house slippers. I saw 2 women in pajamas with no bras. I saw stained clothing, matted wigs and otherwise sloppy employees coming and going, dragging their feet instead of picking them up, discussing inappropriate things with so-called words like "finna" and "strenf" instead of "strength" incorporated into their regular vernacular. A few days after my final interviews, I realized that partnering with GoHealth would be a resume killer for me and therefore, not worth it. I withdrew my resume and moved on. My advice? If you're a professional who is used to working with other professionals, don't want to hear about how "I'm finna go to the sto' when we get up outta here" and other similar things, as the regular way of talking, and you want to elevate your career instead of killing it, stay away from this one. I list "no offer" because I withdrew myself from the running.

    Application

The process took 5 days. I interviewed at GoHealth (Chicago, IL).

    Interview

Had a phone interview with HR which was short and friendly, then told I would be given a coding challenge to complete on my own with no time limit. The coding challenge, however, specifically mentioned that it should probably take an hour, and the HR person said people usually don't make it because they overdo the answer.

The challenge was a sort based on JSON data, nothing fancy. I don't work with sorts often, but finished under an hour, wrote tests (as requested), and cleaned it up. They are apparently looking for a VERY SPECIFIC answer. I'm not entirely sure the reviewer understood how the function worked, which it did. Also received feedback indicating I basically should have wanted to add more (which was WELL stated on my reply).

Overall, I was pleased to receive feedback at least saying what they were looking for, but not so much that despite my answer working and the hinted at expected time, they wanted more.

    Interview

Recruiter reached out from vettery. Had telephonic interview. Then coding excersize to print out frequencies of birams from text. Then onsite interview for 3 hrs. First round with one developer, second round with two managers, and third one with another senior developer. I don't think they interview candidates based on requirement/or if they have openings. Since its from vettery, they just interview candidates for fun and not even consider providing feedback even when reached out to recruiter asking feedback.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at GoHealth (Chicago, IL) in February 2018.

    Interview

The overall process took about 10 days. I was contacted by a recruiter who set up a phone round with one of the senior engineers. The phone call was mostly technical with questions ranging from java trivia to designing a system. Next I was called on site where there were 3 hour long technical rounds with two senior engineers, one principal engineer and engineering manager. All round included white boarding, java trick questions and algorithms with some SQL white boarding as well.

Got email through Vettery (some company similar to indeed) website that how their CTO are impressed about my working background and would love to hire me
    - Take home assignment
    - I spent 3 days to do this.
    - Got the rejection email only 3 minutes after I submit my application without any feedbacks or comments.
Look like a scam for me, a huge waste of my time and effort.
Should not reply in the beginning, not even talk to a real person for the whole process.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GoHealth (Chicago, IL) in January 2018.

    Interview

Applied online and did a phone screen with the HR rep who was eager to schedule an interview for as quickly as possible with the hiring manager. Had a phone interview with the hiring manager and a team member a few days later. The manager seemed very disengaged, didn't reply to questions etc. It was clear he wasn't listening to the call at all after his brief introduction in the first 2 minutes. Call was mostly technical which could be why the hiring manager was silent as I don't think he had a technical background. At the end of the call I was told I would hear about next steps by the end of the week however HR and Hiring Manager ghosted. Overall a very unprofessional organization.

    Inside Sales Representative Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Chicago, IL
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GoHealth (Chicago, IL) in July 2012.

    Interview

First there's a phone interview, then an office interview. They send you a job offer in about two weeks. The job offer is very vague about the commission and bonus structure. They did not respond to my request for a more detailed offer letter. They seem extremely untrustworthy to me.

    Interview Questions

    • What kind of prospects / clients do you not like to deal with?   1 Answer

    Reasons for Declining

The pay is 15/hour for 40 hours, but they want you to work more than 40. There's no overtime pay, you don't get paid after 8 hours. The employment offer letter vaguely describes the commissions and bonus structure,"eligible for commissions and bonus upon management approval". They did not respond when I asked for a more detailed offer letter, this shows they prefer hiring uninformed and desperate people.
You are not vested, you are only paid for new sales, unlike the regular practice in health insurance sales. Their argument is likely that their techno-elixir induces potential health insurance buyers to call the sales center, however, finding a potential lead is only part of the sale.
