I have been working at GoHealth full-time

    Pros

Employees are given opportunities to grow. It is impossible to get bored at this job, but time isn't wasted on worthless things. The environment is extremely fun and I am surrounded by smart people who keep me engaged and constantly learning.

    Cons

The company is growing quickly and the market is changing rapidly. Increased communication about company strategy and market dynamics could be valuable for all employees.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that we are no longer a company of 10 people. It is important to over-communicate as you grow so everyone feels aligned and can make the right decisions on a daily basis.

I worked at GoHealth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Meet new people, discover how not to run a company

    Cons

Extremely unorganized, lack of knowledge/training (both agents and management), deceptive practices, VERY hard to actually receive promised bonuses if at all, no overtime (which was promised), no guidance or support, favoritism, calls funneled to select agents, system issues, over crowded, no parking, negative environment... need I go on?

    Advice to Management

    Run... go elsewhere!

I worked at GoHealth (More than a year)

    Pros

    Easy to get hired
    Bonuses are nice

    Cons

Very unorganized, and there is a lot of chaos. A lot of people get away with not following the rules and policies because they need insurance agents. The quality of employees that are being hired is poor. They will pretty much hire ANYBODY. The managers are not trained properly on how to manage their employees. The attendance policy and dress code are a joke, all of the policies are a joke really. There is constantly a lot of shady stuff going on at this place. If you are looking for a professional environment that will invest in you, look somewhere else.

    Pros

Growing organization. Major players in their space.

    Cons

Absolutely awful company culture. They over promise and under deliver. Management team is inexperienced and unqualified. Absolutely no work/life balance. Lies, Lies Lies. Drug and alcohol abuse rampant on the sales floor.........managers too. Avoid this company like the plague. I was there 7 months and got out.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat people, and they will reward you.

I worked at GoHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overtime opportunites during open enrollment. They pay for your licensing. Getting to know great co-workers from all walks of life. Seasonal work if you like that kind of thing.

    Cons

No exaggeration...this company will find EVERY way to cheat you out of your commission, especially if you are a seasonal worker. I worked there for 3 open enrollments and each time they had a new scam to screw you out of your commission check. Permanent employees get most of the best leads. Seasonal employees only get a few good leads from overflow calls the permanent employees couldn't get; but mostly it was cheap leads and customer service calls which still go against your numbers, affecting your commission. They will lie to your face teling you one thing, but the reality is something different. The attendance policy is set up to take as much commission as possible from you. The building is also sub-par. The ventilation is poor and loud. Most people I've worked with in the past did not go back. Most go back because they have too, or they like being off part of the year. Team managers have no power and would often get screwed too. Overall, you are just a number to these people. I've never worked in a more miserable place. Greety co-workers pushing plans for the bonus and not for the needs of the caller.

    Advice to Management

I know we live in a capitalist society and its all about the money, but STOP lying and decieving your workers.

I have been working at GoHealth full-time

    Pros

Working with talented individuals, challenging, ability to grow career. Company really invests into their employees.

    Cons

Not a full con, but adding in the benefit to work from home at least one day a week would be beneficial. (Scheduling dentist/doctors appointments for those days, break up the week, etc.) Raises could be better.
