I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Guitar Center (Glendora, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
I was the only person to show up for a "Group Interview." The store manager and I went into a practice room instead of her office, which was strange. The interview felt professional, but not too intense.

Question 1
What is a difference between a single-coil pickup and a humbucker? (Interview for guitar sales)
Well thought out interview pretty easy, I thought it went well but didn't get offered a position. I still feel like they are a good company although I heard they changed there commission structure in the past few years.
Simple and to the point. They want to know if you fit into the company culture. They also want to know what your skill set is as far as musical ability. It is very easygoing and relaxed

Interview
Felt like I was being interrogated or discriminated against, as if this were an important career. Dude, you hire high school students. Give me a break. Avoid applying to guitar center.
