I was scheduled a call to speak with a member of the team—the head of product. Our call was scheduled for 9am and he called 20 min late. We only were able to speak for 20 min as they had a hard stop at 9:45. They asked some basic questions and let me talk about myself and how I got to my current role. Mind you, it was brief as I only had 20 min for a brief “introduction call”. Never had an opportunity to go over portfolio to talk in depth about my process or projects I’ve worked on. At the end of the call he said he would schedule a second call to talk more about my work and apologized for calling late. A couple days went by and I got a rejection email saying I didn’t have enough experience. I found this to be bs when we didn’t go over my work, projects, OR spoke about my roles in detail. I’ve work at several top Fortune 100 companies as a leader in design, such as google and amazon, yet this wasn’t good enough for them?? The manager then reach out to me to let me know he would give “feedback” regarding my work when I didn’t show him any work. Still haven’t gotten feedback. Very annoyed they wasted my time.
