I was recruited for this role by a green recruiter. She was great. She accurately matched my merits to the requirements of the role. Um, but after that stage, the Glassdoor reviews of 100+ former employees came to the fore. Absolute idiocracy. When a company is so bad that it loses everyone who is talented enough to land other jobs, there is a mass exodus that leaves only the people who are so untalented that they cannot get outside work. The most unfit people then are promoted into leadership when they become the most senior in tenure. The knowledge bearers already left and the hanging chads are gassed up to appear like leaders and managers and subject experts, but it's all a ridiculous show that anyone serious and skilled cannot be fooled to believe. The way forward from here is to be real about the dismal and talentless situation, fire incompetent people even if they've been there a while, invest in actual talent to rebuild. You must tear down to rebuild. Otherwise, you have this toxic forever monster of the most unskilled, incompetent people in positions to hire and they cannot attract real candidates and they lose all talent to turnover.
