I applied online. I interviewed at H E B (Houston, TX) in Sep 2012
Interview
A terrible experience. Called for a group interview. Had to wait with 14+ others in the breakroom while Jerry Springer show played. Called to interview room in a group-asked to draw (in crayon) the position we wanted. Then we were broken into groups of 4 and had to put together a mealdeal from HEB products on a table, then present it. Then had to wait in breakroom while other groups presented. Then went back in grouproom and had to go around the table stating what job we didn't want and why.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very unnerving-no one was dressed up other than jeans, also very unprofessional to have all the sex stuff with Jerry Springer on.
Basic questions . Just trying to see if you fit I. With them. Pretty easy. Not too hard if you can answer . It was that and a lot of situations and scenarios that they asked about
It was an online format. Personal video recording responding to basic interview prompts. There was also a small competency examination to test for basic math and reading skills as well as some personality questions.

Question 1
They asked about a time when you had to interact with a disgruntled customer
The interview process was pretty straightforward, I got in on a staffing agency that was hiring to fill positions for a new store opening. I had a group interview, then a one on one interview and was offered a position.
