Hi Marley interview questions

Connected directly with the hiring manager through a former colleague. We met a couple of times and talked through their current challenges as well as how they hoped to grow CS in the future. Ultimately their decision came down to industry expertise. The team was great, the process was smooth, and had an offer been made I would have accepted.

I did 5 hours, including a presentation, with a set of interviewers that were all men. I didn't get the job, not because they had another candidate they liked better, which I would accept easily. No, these men came up with a grading system, which I'm sure is very fair, and told the recruiter that I didn't get a high enough grade. I'll spare you my whole background but I have a phd and a couple decades of engineering experience. I get rejected for jobs all the time. I don't even think about it. This is the first one where I have been rejected based on an imaginary grade system, which is, I'm just guessing, not going to be calibrated to be fair to women.
