I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Melbourne, FL) in Mar 2020
Interview
The entire process was all over the place. I originally applied the beginning of February and received a called 4 weeks later from the assistant manager but he called me thinking I applied for a sales associate role so he said his store manager would have to get back with me the following week to schedule a interview with her. Okay, cool. Next week comes but no call so I called THEM and which the store manager set up a interview for the following week. I go to the interview which went well and the store manager was very nice & then she would refer me to the district manager for a final interview the following week but during this time things started to shut down due to the virus, now were in the 3rd week of March 2020 so I never heard back until June. The store manager called & asked if I was still interested, I said yes & she scheduled a FaceTime interview with the district manager the next day. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and once we finished, he informed me it could still be a few weeks because the store was still closed which was fine with me. A few weeks went by, I contacted the store manager for a follow up, she informed me she hasn’t spoken with the district manager & he was currently on vacation but would keep me posted. 2 more weeks go by & I still heard nothing so I contacted her again asking for a clear yes or no & without any explanation she told me the district manager decided not to hire me. 5 months wasted! Of course the virus was no one’s fault but if you take that out of the equation, the whole process was ridiculous. Poor communication & not straightforward.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Ashford, Kent, South East England, England) in Jun 2022
Interview
Attended interview was store manager, was told it went well and I would be invited back to speak with the area manager. Also told that went well. Was then told they didn't currently have any jobs open in the store even though they had advertised for that store and was offered stores no where near me. I opted to remain interested and they said they would let me know if something came up. After 4 months I saw they were advertising again for my local store so i contacted the recruitment consultant and said I was still interested in and was told that I was no longer what they were looking for in a candidate.
