I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at HomeGoods (Wayne, NJ) in Sep 2013
Interview
I was referred by a former co-worker after the store where we had worked before went out of business.
I walked in, filled out a paper application, attached my resume and was called for an interview the very next day. Was hired on the spot pretty much due to the reputation of the company I used to work for hiring top-notch employees, the caliber of our customers, and the type of white-glove service they’re used to.
The interviewer put me in a filthy little room in the warehouse and had me watch a common-sense safety video. There was a second video but he couldn’t get it set up properly so that exercise was abandoned and I couldn’t tell you what it was about.
I was told to report in a few days for cashier training and put on a late nights and weekends (BOTH Sat & Sun) schedule that nobody else wanted.
It was very peronsable. Really wanted to make sure the people working there really care about the product and customers. I felt like they wanted to build a community so really talking about your passion for continuing your career with them as they have so many jobs that you can make your way up.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at HomeGoods (Woodbridge, NJ) in Oct 2023
Interview
Interview process was very short. Igot called in for an Interview twi days after I submitted the application. I Spent roughly 15 minutes with the hiring manager. It took them 3 weeks to run a background check, and get thier orientation started.
Very simple , straight to the point. Homegoods wants you to make sure the store is clean and up to part. Make sure you know each aisle for the customers
