I submitted a resume through the career link on the website. I was asked to analyze a dataset of Hopper's and competitors' prices to determine Hopper's competitive strengths and weaknesses, which I did and submitted to their HR. I then was asked to interview with Hopper's territory manager to discuss my results, which I was ready to do, but instead we discussed my background and why I was interested in Hopper. The interviewer took a hard stop 30 minutes in, but told me she wanted a followup conversation. A couple days later, I found out I was rejected, with no feedback as to why the team had gone from wanting a second conversation to rejecting me. The only thing I know is that Hopper collected a number of likely useful analyses from applicants like me without paying for them.
