      Sr Program Manager Interview

      Aug 21, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HubSpot in Aug 2025

      Interview

They move fast! Heard from recruitment within a week, and within a month I had completed all steps of the process. They were friendly, quick, and offered feedback after the last round, which I appreciated.

      Question 1

How do you handle ambiguity and a fast-changing environment?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in May 2022

      Interview

The recruiter reached out two weeks after I submitted my application. I provided my availability for an interview - she has yet to schedule the interview or respond to my email. Based on the feedback available on Glassdoor, it sounds like this is pretty typical for Hubspot and may be a method of collecting EEOC data. The recruiter and company should be embarrassed.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in Apr 2020

      Interview

How would rate this response from a talent acquisition rep, after I sent a note requesting feedback? This was her reply, 8 days after the final round interview. "I am sorry about this delay but what I can tell you is that if your feedback was negative, I WOULD HAVE REJECTED YOU BY NOW. So please don't take this delay as a bad sign. Hiring seems to be going slower at the moment due to a much higher referral rate THANKS to COVID-19." I don't recall ever seeing language like "...I would have rejected you by now" . If I were the hiring manager and learned that this is what candidates received, I'd be concerned. After a 2 initial rounds, I was told April 16th that we'd be moving to the final round. I asked April 23rd for an update. No Response. Again on April 27th I asked about the schedule for the third round. On the 28th I received the date. The day of the final round, the T/A rep was scheduled to kick off the call. She was a no show. I spent the first 15 minutes of the interview alone, questioning whether I had the wrong link or if the meeting was rescheduled. After the interview I sent a thank you note to the recruiter. She replied 8 days later and simply said that I could expect an update the following day. The next day, nothing. I waited until the afternoon of the following day and received a reply apologizing for the delay. I was told to expect an update on 5/19. On 5/20 I needed to once again ask for an update. Ultimately I was rejected, but honestly I am relieved. Can't imagine a worse experience.
