Why is the Catalog strategically important to Instacart? 2.) What are the key operational components of the team? How would you think about organizing the team? 3.) What other products or revenue opportunities will arise from Instacart's data?) WARNING! This may have been an isolated incident but I want to caution candidates about applying at Instacart based on my negative experience below. A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. I decided to apply after learning more about the role. I went through the entire interview process and made it to the final round. I received a verbal offer on the same day as the final round presentation. However, the recruiter called back a couple of hours later to say that they are taking back the offer because of a "change in scope of the role" and that they are looking for someone with a different background and skills. I can only assume that the hiring/recruiting teams are completely disorganized and are not clear on who they are trying to hire/what kind of talent they need. They wasted my time and their own time searching for candidates that they don't even intend to hire. This reflects poorly on the company in how they treat people. This was the worst recruiting experience I've ever had.
