They contacted me only a day or two after I had applied online. The initial part of the interview was pretty good, they asked very typical HR questions about me and my experience. Then they asked my about my nationality and when they found out I am not a US citizen they immediately lost interest.

For one, we are in fact open to candidates that require sponsorship and we have a number of non-US citizens on the team. We would never ask for someone's nationality.

Interview
Phone screen then met with the team. The recruiter for the phone screen did not really look at my resume despite wanting to talk about my qualifications. This made the processes harder as he was not on the same page as I was.
