I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at John Deere (Fargo, ND) in Sep 2012
Interview
Applied online through campus career center. Was invited to select a slot for interview. Went in and interviewed for about an hour with one engineer. Was asked various behavior based questions and also a question on my transcript about a poor grade I had gotten. Took about a month or two to hear back from the interview.
Very relaxed interview with simple, STAR based questions in a fairly informal setting. This was for a part time student role so the main focus was on classwork, internships, and pre-college experience. However they were mostly interested in how quickly you could learn/absorb information and how hard of a worker you were.

Question 1
Describe a time when you encountered a problem in a project
It starts with applying for a position on their website through the job openings portal. If you are a match, a recruiter or hiring manager will reach out to schedule a time for an interview. Mine was over Microsoft Teams with my manager and two other employees. It lasted about 45 minutes.

Question 1
Start with basic background questions and then they are heavy on the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) format so have plenty of examples to use.
