Interview
I applied online through SnagAJob.com and received a phone call within a couple hours to schedule an appointment for Tuesday. I went to the interview, which happened to be a group interview (first one that I've been to). There were 11 potentials and two Kohl's managers and basically they had a round table question and answer. It was pretty lame because most of the questions had pretty much the same answer for everyone around (IE: You're doing something and a customer walks up, what do you do? A customer asks you about something and you're unfamiliar with the product, what do you do?). Pretty much everyone gave the same answer. After the Q&A, the two managers left for ~5 minutes supposedly "watching us" to see how we interact with each other. Once they came back they announced several names and were asked to leave. I was one of the 4-5 to stay behind. I filled out paperwork and was told that they'll call me back in a few days. Never head back or anything. Later found out that they no longer needed the position because a part-timer went full-time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What wold you do if a customer asked you about a product that you were unfamiliar with?
The interview was mostly "tell me a time when..." questions. The interviewer was very nice however she told me that the position I applied for was already filled and the only position that I would be qualified for would be cashier. I didn't feel comfortable pressuring the customer in to applying for a credit card so I declined the offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time that you implemented a plan and went through with it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kohl's (Watertown, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
Interview is very easy and questions are really simple. The manager basically asks questions about customer service, availability and why the interviewee is interested in working for Kohl's. The interview is done in a group setting, however, and that could be nerve wrecking.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Why do you want to work for Kohl's?"
"What is your availability?"
"Would you accept cross training?"
"Give me an example of a time you gave excellent customer service."
"Tell me about a time you received excellent customer service."
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kohl's (Little Falls, NJ) in Jun 2015
Interview
Very easy process, had to fill out some paperwork and answer 1 question. It was myself and one other Associate interviewed together, but each of us were there for different positions. I have to wait one week to find out if I am hired, because they do a background check. I was told if I pass the background check, I will receive a phone call with an offer.
