After applying online, 20 days later I received a text message with a link to interview. There were slots for the same week. I showed up to the interview which was not with pharmacy, but just the store HR. The interviewer admitted it was his third day, and had never interviewed someone before. He has generic questions, several relating to bagging groceries or cleaning up aisles. None were pharmacy specific. My resume clearly states my work experience and college degree, but they sounded very surprised when I mentioned college. At the end, I asked about the pay range and expected hours. I was told it starts at $16.25, and goes up from there based on trainings I can volunteer to go through. It is union, so a raise is given every year. As for hours, they said between 30 and 40. I asked about benefits and probation. They said 60 day probation, but insurance and other benefits are not offered until 1 year of working 30-40 hours weekly on average. Not sure what the probation is for. You are not considered a full time employee until one year of employment, regardless of hours worked, trainings completed, or hourly rate. I was told they would call me tomorrow to set up a time to shadow in the pharmacy, and then after that one more interview with HR, and after that a decision.
