I met with the manager, and they asked me about my previous experience of teaching or working with Kumon. They ask about their vision/mission statement. It's really casual because though it's a big company, each location has only one manager.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kumon (Irvine, CA) in Dec 2011
Interview
It was pretty easy and simple. They just called you in after looking at your resume and talked with you about what was expected of you in the job and just made you sure had the qualifications as stated on your resume. Nothing to prepare for. It was a part-time job anyways.
You need proof of residence and ID, and must take a timed test covering basic 5th-grade math skills. It's straightforward but requires quick thinking and accurate calculation. I don't recall taking an English test version but they were nice.
