I applied online on the career website. A few weeks later a human resource coordinator contacted me via email to schedule a phone screening. My phone screening was 30 minutes long. The HR coordinator was very pleasant and easy to talk to. We went over my school and work background. How my current job and duties align with the Shopper Marketing role. After the phone screening, I was invited back for an onsite job interview. But 2 days before the interview I was contacted informing me they will no longer go through with my candidacy. I emailed the HR coordinator back asking for feedback on why exactly I was rejected. She informed me the team had just had a meeting and were going over the responsibilities/job description for the role and after reviewing, they felt that moving forward this role will require more of a true marketing background and be more of a marketing-based role. I had very little marketing experience which disqualified me.
