I applied through the L'Oréal career website for the Emerging market days at the headquarters in France.
I then had a phone call from an HR manager to know more about me and my motivations to apply for L'Oréal. He asked me questions like "why L'Oréal", "What is the luxe industry for you?" etc...
The next day i received an email telling me that I have been selected to partcipate to the assessment centre. I received a picture from a beauty salon in Afghanistan and the assignement of explaining in 3 slides what would be the strategy of market penetration for this country.
On the day of the assessment center I presented my strategy. Then we had different role games consisting in negotiating budgets for our divisions etc... I was told at the end of the assessment centre (half a day) that I was selected to meet a manager for an interview.
I met then a brand director with whom i had an interview of approximatly 1h30. I was asked questions about the different brands of L'Oréal and about the countries of the middle east. I also had strategy questions like how to assess a potential market, guesstimate. I was asked to assess the potential market for shampoos in a city of Africa. My personnal motivations were also assessed during this interview. my analytical skills etc...
2days after I received a call telling me that I was recruited.
