Didn’t apply, recruiter reached out. She told me the hiring managers would ask about operating systems I’ve worked on, and my experience with C++ and hardware loop. I didn’t have much experience in any of this, but I was upfront and honest anytime I didn’t know something. I have a defense industry background, so during the interview I discussed my personal experiences, projects I’ve worked on, how I am a team player, etc. I was honest about the technical struggles I have faced, as well as my biggest weakness (emphasizing what I actively do to work on it). No Leetcode style questions. Got an offer, but they wanted me to start ASAP. Their relocation package ($5,000) wouldn’t cover my moving expenses. They weren’t willing to negotiate. Ended up rejecting. No hard feelings, would love to work at Lockheed in the future!
