      Critical Response Line Interview

      Interview

Definitely an unique interview experience! I received an email from one of the HR recruiters that included a writing assessment handling a driver's issue. Once that was completed, I received an email invite to come to the office for a hiring event. The hiring event was very laid back and actually kind of fun! We started with a Round Robin style interview in which there were 6 potential new hires. We paired up and asked each other a few questions, then had to introduce our partner to the rest of the group. After that, we moved to a "Speed Dating" round. We were each put in separate rooms and current Lyft associates rotated between us and asked us different interview questions. There were 3 or 4 rounds. Some were professional style questions, others were personal. I think this is very efficient way of making sure not only Lyft gets to know you as a person, but you get to know Lyft and how the culture is at the office. This makes sure that you're a good fit for Lyft and Lyft is a good fit for you. That evening, I received an email that I was invited back for a final round of interviews. I met with two current Lyft associates and they briefed me on two role play situations. One was a driver issue, the other was a passenger issue. Role playing can be stressful, especially because you don't their policies, but the key is to show empathy, go the extra mile, and definitely keep safety in mind. I was nervous about the role play, but once we started, it wasn't bad at all! Lastly, the Team Lead came in and asked me a few more questions. I was contacted the next day with an offer! Everyone was really friendly and helpful during the whole process. Definitely enjoyed the interview process and I'm excited to be a part of the Lyft family!

      Interview

Great interview process! Different from what I’ve done before but very personable and a good eye opener to what the company is. The interview process is very simple but provides a lot of information.

Entonces, porque Lyft? (So, Why Lyft?)
      Answer question

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft (Nashville, TN) in Sep 2017

      Interview

The interview process was very straightforward. 1. Video overview of the company 2. Interview with two team members who asked general questions and talked about what the position entails. 2. Met with two more people and did a "mock" telephone call. I had to respond to an angry driver. (Quite interesting) 3. Met with a manager about my skills and other general follow-up questions. The entire process went fairly quickly. Even though they bring in groups of candidates at one time, it was fairly personal.
