I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at McDonald's (Edmonton, AB) in Sep 2013
Interview
I applied online and I got a phone call about a month later saying that I should come in for an interview. In the first part of the interview they had me fill out a questionnaire about how i would handle certain situations. After that, it was a pretty standard interview with basic questions. The interview process was very good and the workplace culture at McDonald's is better than I expected for a fast food job.
A group interview with around 8 people where we were asked to just introduce ourselves and have a conversation with each other while the hiring manager was watching. They hired around half of us.
Honestly, good servce but poor management, supervisor know nothing, all blaming on us, but colleagues are fair, nice working environments. Still like that place. Working loads are fair, normally 8 hours/day, but always suffered when facing hard deal customers.
The interview was quick, mainly asking about availability & any prior customer service or hospitality experience. They do review your resume but availability and the number of hours you can commit to is prioritised.
