I applied online. I interviewed at Mendix in Mar 2021
Interview
the process is 3 stages :
1 - culture fit interview (no technical questions)
2 - take home assignment
3 - final interview, they are going to start the interview with questions related to the assignment some design questions and technologies used questions.
Pros:
1 - very nice and friendly people
2 - very professional and straight to the point
3 - they provided a feedback quickly
4.- if you took a minute and explored their product (Mendix Platform) you're going to find how much the engineers there are doing a great job there.
Cons:
1 - read the job description carefully if it is not clear or missing the specific technologies they're using ask for information if you're missing those technologies don't apply because they are not willing to invest on engineers and give them the training for it as I think they don't have the time for that
2- They have the mentality of engineers that they think only 2+3 = 5 not 1 +4 solution not 5 + 0 solution, so if you didn't reply the answer that they want to hear they gonna say that you didn't answer this questions.
at the end it was a nice experience and a good interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 - behavioral questions.
2 - take home assignment.
3 - technical discussion.
Initial telephonic Recruiter discussion, First round with tech lead and hiring manager and then second round take home assignment, if that is cleared then further manager discussion. They have portal so that helps.
