I applied online. I interviewed at Mercer in Jan 2023
Interview
Sent a resume, and received a hirevue invitation in a few weeks. Gave me about a week and a half to do it, standard behavioral questions, only five of them and you get unlimited tries. They were really fast in offering me a final round interview. I was a bit confused because I was expecting a superday, but it was just one 45 minute interview with two senior executives. Then, a few days before the interview, my recruiter emailed me to say they had to rescind my interview offer because I “didn’t submit my hirevue”. Like, weren’t you supposed to watch it to move me forward? I emailed the recruiter and they fixed it, but that seemed super messy. Then, in the actual interview, it only lasted 30 minutes and was very unproductive. Spent a lot of time asking about irrelevant details about my resume, and kept responding to my answers with “hmm, that’s ok I guess.” Didn’t even ask about why I wanted to work there. Energy was bad and seemed like they decided about me before they even interviewed me. I had to email my recruiter two weeks later to find out I was rejected. Very disorganized and unprofessional.
