I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at MetLife in Jan 2013
Interview
In person, asked about sales techniques and problem solving scenarios. One of the questions was: Describe a situation where somehow you formulated a quote for a customer and when reviewing it you found mistakes or inaccuracies. How did you go about fixing the mistakes and ultimately were you able to meet the customers needs. Was the customer retained after the renewal period?

Interview
I really didn't have any insurance interviews elsewhere so i don't know if this is the norm, but i felt skeptical.
He asked me to provide him with excel sheet of 500 phone numbers and names from my connections, and send it to him after 3 days and if i am accepted there would be an interview online and another one i guess till i am accepted.
Obviously i didn't have 500 contacts to send and i it was more of gathering data for their sales team not solely for hiring someone.... But again i still don't know if this is the norm.
