I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft in Jun 2019
Interview
The process consists of multiple phases, first comes a written test with four problems where you have to write a solution in any programming language, you can even use some pseudocode. If you pass you are invited to an interview which is actually 4 interviews, each 4 hours long where you will be presented with problems which you have to solve in front of one or two people from the company on a piece of paper, describing what you're doing and why.

45 mins technical interview with a member of their San fran team. Very relaxed and informal but questions were focused and lots of follow ups. Easy to schedule as was over video conferencing platform
Straightforward technical loop overall, with strong interviewers at every stage. I genuinely enjoyed the in-depth conversations around technical challenges and algorithmic problem-solving — the entire process felt well-structured and genuinely engaging.
