Apply for the position. Recruiting will then send you an email to schedule your first interview. I had an in-person interview, but I do know sometimes the first interview will be over the phone.
If after the first interview Microsoft is still interested they will schedule you to come out to the HQ in Redmond, WA for a second round of interviews. After your second interview usually within a week they will either offer you the position or they wont.
Expect technical deep dives, coding challenges, and problem-solving scenarios. Questions will probe your knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design, assessing your ability to build robust systems. yes yus yes
