I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MuleSoft (London, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
1. Initial screening call with recruiter - fairly standard. Why BD, why Mulesoft. Was told not to prepare, but did so anyway.
2. Half-hour phone interview with another recruiter after having chased up via email. Again, similar vein to initial call, why BD etc. I was told this interview would focus more on extra-curricular but didn't seem to.
3. Onsite interview. Three 45-minute interviews with different members of the MuleSoft team. I was initially told that these interviews would all focus on different areas of my CV: professional, academic and extra-curricular, however this didn't seem to be the case. Interviews lacked some structure, in that I felt similar questions were being asked by all three interviewers, and didn't run to time. Focused particularly on why sales, rather than why MuleSoft.
Was rejected at this stage due to lacking a "passion for sales", and it wasn't felt I demonstrated enough pushing back against and challenging of others opinions, although this wasn't an area that was directly addressed at interview. I also mentioned when asked that I had applied to some strategy consulting roles, and this definitely raised a red flag, and I feel certainly counted against me, so be cautious of this.
The following stages were to be a practice case study cold call/email exercise, then the final stage would have been a Skype interview with head of AD.
Overall, the interview process seems v. focused on specific examples and achievements, so be prepared to be challenged to provide an example for everything you say. The company is exciting and is clearly going places, so good luck to them.
Recruiter phone screen, manager interview, regional vp interview, group interview, very clear communication from recruiter throughout entire process. Expectation of each step were set accurately, gave me plenty of prep help, great overall experience.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2022
Interview
First a Phone Screening with a recruiter, then a mock call with hiring manager and then a final interview. The process usually takes 2 weeks so pretty quick compared to other companies.

I applied online. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2022
Interview
The interview process was challenging but exhilarating. There were ample opportunities to share what individual research I had done but also learn from my recruiter and interviewers. I found my recruiter helpful every step of the way.
