I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New England Motor Freight

Interview

Applied through a staffing agency, only to find out weeks later that I had to re-do all the paperwork with another staffing agency because the original one wasn’t even allowed to staff in that particular area. I had a phone interview with the terminal manager at that time, never even got to meet him in person. He was out of the office when I started, then he quit to work elsewhere. The staffing agency called me a few hours after the interview & told me I was hired. That should have been a red flag to me, but I accepted anyways. I filled out the paperwork at the staffing agency, had the phone interview with the company, and got a job offer all in the same day.

They make you feel like they really care and so far that part is true. I havent been there very long but they have made me feel I belong there.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New England Motor Freight (West Springfield, MA) in Sep 2012

Interview

I was OTR with Van Pak at the time and saw that NEMF had moved into the old St. Johnsbury building in West Springfield MA. Went in and talked to Rocky who was the TM at the time. Told me to fill out and app and asked me when I could start, he convinced me that quitting Van Pak and starting right away would be something I wouldn't regret, and I didn't. I worked for NEMF 08 terminal for 11 years. Plenty of work available. I would work the dock, do my runs, take weekend work if available and I was earning $89,000 a year. They don't give the money to you for being a nice guy, you have to get out there and earn it.
