Interview
I first applied online on the Nordstrom Careers section of the company site. I applied for three positions. I was contacted by HR a few days later, however this was in regards to another department since the positions in the departments that I had applied to were already filled. A phone interview was conducted by the HR department and an in-person interview was scheduled. The interview was held in the office space of the store location. I was interviewed by the manager and assistant manager of the department. The interview was somewhat hard since the questions were somewhat clinical, and I had anticipated questions in regards to fashion, my salesmanship skills, etc. After the question portion of the interview, they gave me a tour of the stock room and department, as well as introduced me to a few team members. They gave me a card and told me to call back for any further questions. I was contacted two days later with a job offer.

Question 1
What was a time in your previous experience (i.e. a previous job, or in my case, university) when you were faced with a challenge working with others? How did you overcome it?
So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
