The H.R. person was very friendly and positive, but ask me the same exact questions that she had asked per our phone interview. But, she she very interested in hiring me for the job opening in Hosiery and accessories. The problem was the manager of that department was off that day. She said she would have the manager call the next day and set up another appointment to meet. I had to call her after not hearing from them. The HR person was surprise that I wasn't called asap. That afternoon the Department Manager called and requested to meet me, Very friendly person, but again asked me the same questions word from word. I had more questions to ask than she did ! But, it was a easy going interview. The problem was this manager wanted to go on the floor and "Role Play" after spending an hour with her going over Nordstroms selling tactics, vacations, sales goals etc...and then introduce me to her staff. I heard a week later from the HR person that they had changed their mind about hiring someone for that department. So why didn't the Department Manager call me ? I think I was over qualified for the position maybe it spooked her that at one time I was a Department Manager of Hosiery , shoes , accessories and other departments.
