The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northern Trust (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Phone interview was the basic screening process asking about goals, salary requirements, basic qualifications, etc. Only took about 15 minutes. I came in the following week for an in person interview and met with four members of the team. The interview had barely any technical questions and was mostly focused on getting to know you and making sure you were a good fit with the team. Good experience overall.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northern Trust (Chicago, IL) in May 2021
Interview
One phone screening, then one video call with 3 executives. Phone screening was super basic question about yourself and why you choose this job. Video interview includes technical to check your knowledge on options, behavioral to see your teamwork ability and communication skills, and brain teaser question to see your problem-solving ability.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northern Trust (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2015
Interview
The process started with an on-campus interview with a member of HR, and then moved on to a second round at the office. At the on campus interview, the HR rep asked questions to assess my finance knowledge (define ROE, talk about the differences between an Income Statement and a Balance Sheet, what are they used for, what was the price of NT stock that morning, etc.) The HR rep also asked about my leadership and internship experience. During the second round, I interviewed with two team leads and two upper managers in the group over 2 hours.
