Interview with HR and a SQL test. SQL test to identify PCP of member based on claims, and enrollment data. Assign PCP based on most number of visits and if there is tie then use the most recent visit.
- Why are you interested in Nuna and this role. Questions around Healthcare experience and technologies used.

I applied online. I interviewed at Nuna (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2023
Took a month for them to get back to me after applying - then after speaking with HR had me take a SQL test that took another 2 weeks before they replied back with those results. Not sure what they were looking for with the SQL test as I have been in the industry for a long time and my results to my SQL were spot on - I was told on the HR interview they weren't looking for the Manager to be an expert just have a general knowledge so they could guide the team of Analyst, this was obliviously not accurate as I did not "pass" their test.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Nuna
I don't even know where to begin with this one. I've never felt so disrespected in an interview process. It took 11 interviews, of which 4 were technical assessments, to get a denial. All this despite having glowing recommendations from at least 5 current employees. They had no idea what they wanted in a candidate or how to interview someone. It was very clear that the company had very little direction or understanding of their needs or how to fix the problems they had. This shone through in particular in the incredibly insulting interview process. Even if I didn't have any employees vouching for me I would be insulted that it takes 11 interviews and more than full day of work to get a response. All this while the recruiter was 10 minutes late to a 15 minute wrap up with no notice and drew the process out over 3 months. This company doesn't have a product or plan from what I saw and the interview process was just part of that. This wasn't isolated either. I know at least 3 other candidates who were similar. One was overqualified for a position and had to beg to get a response back for an associate analyst position a month after their final interview. It's just disrespectful.
- Had 3/4 technical interviews (1 take home, 1 thought experiement, 1 live coding, 1 talk through with data engineering of a problem). It's hard to prepare because they are strange questions and I don't think they really knew what to ask because they didn't know what they needed.

Interview process was horrible. The interviewer was literally checking his email while I was coding and at the end, just said lets go over your solution now. Nothing else in the whole interview process even when I was detailing all the reasons and steps I was taking, asked the same question to what I mentioned. When asking questions that had nothing to do with Java, his answers were I dont know Java, but felt the need to argue with me on different OOP principles. Definitely dodged a bullet. Would not work with anyone so oblivious

if your resume passes, you will receive a SQL take home challenge (health data at a glance) from HR. Once that is also passed, there will be: Onsite interview with a senior HDA; another round to see product demo; and a final round with HR
- why Nuna; data quality issues

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nuna (New York, NY) in Dec 2022
The interview with the recruiter was wonderful. I also did well on the take home exams. It was clear during the interview that I knew more about value based care than the hiring manager. Although I thought we had a constructive discussion, I was given none nonsensical reasons on why they did not want to move forward. Stay away unless you do not want to work with people that have an inferiority complex.
- Linear Regression and SQL questions.

Didn't apply. Contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn. Multiple meetings are scheduled. 1. Recruiter chat 2. Hiring manager chat 3. Tech Leadership 4. Code Review/Architecture Problems 5. Architecture/System Design 6. Behavioral 7. Coffee Chat 8. Recruiter Wrap-Up Total 7 hours +!
- Signed NDA but pretty typical questions about your experience, tech knowledge, and management skills.

Required to pass take home coding challenge before even talking to a recruiter. Two hour assessment on some sort of tree question. Not sure who they are looking for to answer these questions which can be very time consuming and difficult.
- Some sort of tree question where you build it and pass rules to it

Waste of time, don't even bother. Totally impersonal. Was just sent a CoderPad challenge with a 2 hour limit. No conversation about the company, role, culture, or values beforehand. I've spent years in industry and have never implemented a search tree and in 2 hours none-the-less. This was a more difficult problem than ones I had encountered years earlier while still in college. This test is geared towards candidates who are fresh out of college or have time on their hands to review problems like these. As many other people on Glassdoor have pointed out, these kinds of tests will make you lose many qualified and capable candidates. I expect this from MAANG companies, but not from smaller companies like Nuna.
- Implement an n-ary tree. With rules: 1. If the value is in the set, keep the node 2. If the value is a parent of the value in the set, keep it 3. If the value is a part of the final tree, keep it 4. Otherwise, delete the node

I applied online. I interviewed at Nuna (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2022
I received email from Nuna on a Saturday trying to schedule an interview for Monday which was Labor Day. I had a phone screen with Nuna and was told they would email me the take home SQL exam. I had to follow-up with them to get it. It took a few days for them to respond to my email, but I eventually received it. I took the test and the following day I received an email from Nuna notifying me that they would like to proceed to the next step of the hiring process and meet with the hiring team. I put my available dates through the scheduling app. After several weeks, Nuna emailed me and told me they had hired another candidate that was farther along in the process, but they would like to reach out to me if another opportunity came up which I agreed to. Two weeks later I was contacted by Nuna to interview for a similar position. I had another telephonic screen with Nuna. Again, I was told they would like to proceed with the interview process. I gave my availability to schedule an interview with the hiring team. After the days I had submitted came and went, I received an email from the Nuna telling me to hold tight a few days that they were reworking a few things. After a week, I followed up with the Nuna via email inquiring about my candidacy. I did not receive any further communication. Total time for this process - two months
- Describe your prior experience. SQL coding was healthcare domain specific.
