In my experience, the interview felt rushed and transactional, and the interviewer seemed rather insincere and disinterested in my opinion. Early on, I was told we needed to “move this along” to get to the next interview, which set the tone for the conversation. While the questions were straightforward, there were no follow-ups or opportunities to expand on my responses, making it difficult to gauge engagement. I came prepared, confident in my qualifications, and eager to have a meaningful discussion about the role, but I left feeling that I wasn’t given a real opportunity to demonstrate my fit. It seemed to me that the interviewer wasn't paying attention to the things I was saying.
The experience also made me question whether all candidates are consistently given the same level of engagement throughout the interview process, as the interaction felt one-sided and prematurely decided. While I can't speak to the reasoning behind it, the lack of genuine dialogue made it difficult to view the interview as a fair or thorough assessment.
