Interviews for Top Jobs at Oklahoma Heart Hospital

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jan 2020
Great interview environment. Panel style, very laid back. More of a get to know you than a question and answer interview. Won't really quiz you on nursing skills so don't be too nervous about that.
- Why did you choose nursing?

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jan 2019
Manager missed our first call, I had to contact secretary to ask if the interview was still happening, and was to be rescheduled in a few hours. Followed up the next day and was scheduled for an in-person the following week. Day of interview was rescheduled a few hours back, then again, and cancelled. Was rescheduled to another day and when I arrived the manager was late again and sat for some time. After a little while I met with another manager to discuss the role and my experience. Once the manager arrived we were able to chat a little before having to get on a call. I was then placed back in the waiting area until the former manager interviewed me. He just received my resume and didn’t have a chance to look at it. Explained the culture, team, and scope and then asked if I had any questions because he also had a call to get on. Three hour long interview was not an expectation and would have been a nice courtesy to inform interviewees. I really wanted to work here and join the leadership team but I walked away a little concerned with the process, stressful ness demonstrated, and commitment to talent acquisition. Ultimately, I was not the candidate chosen for the role but I think they could do a better job creating an environment for them to evaluate candidates. I am not as concerned with interviewees in this process but rather their ability to interview successfully.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, OK)
Applied online with resume and application, a couple of weeks later called in for an interview, about a week after that was offered position, then proceeded with back ground check, entire process was about one month
- Very casual, asked why I wanted to work there, what am I passionate about and a lot of basic questions.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Oklahoma City, OK
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jun 2016
Interview was set up by the Human Resources Department within a couple of days of submitting my resume online. The interview was with a high ranking position within the company. The interview was very informational but the interviewer never stopped talking. I would have been a great fit for the position and the company but I couldn't get a word in edgewise.
- I wasn't really asked many questions at all. Made the interview very awkward.

Also assessment questions of general Strengths and Weaknessess.

Pretty basic for a large corporation. Interview and do a standard test about how you would handle certain situations. No college degree needed for this job and it's your basic paperwork filing position so expect a simple interview process.
- How do you handle stress and unhappy patients?

Anonymous Employee
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital
All application process done online. Right before interview EVERY potential employee fills out a psych/personality "test" and it shows them what kind of person you are. Very laid back and easy to talk to management. Human Resources staff very friendly.
- In nursing, there aren't too many difficulty questions unless there is something in particular they need to know about.

One interview. Pretty short and to the point. The lady acted like the building was on fire and couldn't get out fast enough. I was actually surprised when I was offered the job. I wasn't given a chance to say much.
- Are you willing to work nights?

Anonymous Employee in Oklahoma City, OK
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, OK) in Mar 2011
The interview process was pretty simple. The interview consisted of one on one sit down. After the interview a drug test is needed. This job requires all vaccines. Be prepared for multiple shots in order to start the job.
- if you have had all your shots
