One of the most disappointing interview experiences! I applied for the role in October 2021, recruiter reached out to me in November to schedule a call with the hiring manager. Had a ~30 min phone call with the hiring manager that followed up with a series of interviews with other team members in mid-December. Recruiter informed me that everyone gave a positive feedback about me and the team wants me to come on-site in January 2022. Everything was going so well that I thought they would hit me up with an offer by January end. Things started going downhill after my on-site visit. The recruiter started replying to me once in 3 weeks, giving me reasons that he wasn't well, or needs to speak to the HR. They had some reorganization in March when they completely changed the role to Senior Metallurgical Engineer. The hiring manager changed too. The new hiring manager interviewed me in May 2022 after probably the recruiter pushed them to speak to me. I got a rejection email today after I asked the recruiter if they can expedite the process since it's been almost 6 months since my first call in November 2021. No feedback, no courtesy call to provide me a reason on why I was rejected, just an automated email saying they decided to move forward with another candidate!! Wow! 7 months of interview process from October 2021 to May 2022 and that is how they treat the candidates. I wish I withdrew my application long back but I loved the role and the team. Utter waste of time and energy!
