The interview process at PayPal typically begins with an initial phone screen with a recruiter to discuss your background, skills, and interest in the role. This is followed by a technical phone interview or an online coding test, depending on the position. Successful candidates are then invited to an onsite interview, which usually consists of several rounds. These rounds may include technical interviews focused on coding, algorithms, and problem-solving, as well as system design interviews. Behavioral interviews to assess cultural fit and teamwork skills are also common. Throughout the process, PayPal places a strong emphasis on technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and alignment with the company's values.

I interviewed 2 round, one front end, one hire manager, but didn’t move forward. The hr is helpful, the hire manager round asked about system design questions, which I feel may cause the rejection.
