The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Process too about a month and a half total. First a phone interview which was about 30 minutes long. After a phone interview I was set up with the next interview the following week. At the face to face interview I was asked to describe a difficult situation in which a customer was irrairrate. This was very easy for me to answer since I had so much experience dealing with irrate customers from my previous employer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex
Interview
Interview process consisted of 2 interviews and one shadowing session. Interview questions were pretty standard STAR structure. I interviewed in person with one supervisor while one other was on a video call.

Question 1
Describe a time when you made a mistake and how you handled it
I had two interviews. First one was with one manager and the second was with two other managers. The interview s lasted about 30 minutes each. They asked about my payroll background and several questions that started out with, "tell me about a time..."
Very simple. A round table interview with scenario-based questions. They ask mostly about previous interactions with co-workers as well as customers. It is a customer service job and you are dealing with payroll which can get very overwhelming
