Interview
I walked into my local Marie Callender's restaurant and asked to introduce myself to the manager. I asked her if they were hiring and gave her my resume, then sent a follow-up thank you note for her time. Three weeks later she called me for an interview, which was more of a chat with a job offer attached. She said that she had wanted me there when I walked in, but they didn't have a position available at that time, so she called me as soon as a host left. She did also say that the thank-you note set me apart, so I would recommend sending one to the manager you talk with.

Easy, Very Few Questions, interview to orientation within a week, schedules created bi-weekly, so may have to wait to start. Very short, 5-10 Minutes in both interviews with both managers; Service Manager and General Manager, same questions asked in both.

Two interviews with basic interview questions. Be bubbly. Try and make connections with the interviewer and show them you can bring the same type of family quality service to the restaurant and you are willing to work a lot.
