Called me into the store and asked basic questions about what I'd be comfortable doing and hours that I would want to work. Very simple overall. Got a call back a few days later
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PetSmart (Chandler, AZ) in Jul 2012
Interview
The hiring process is rough for a cashier. Two interviews--one with the Operations Manager (Assistant Store Manager) and Store Manager. Neither are particularly difficult, but the first interview with the Ops Manager is a little more rough. They will ask you questions about specific instances like team work, etc. and then grade your response on a little sheet. The second interview with the Store Manager was pretty laid back for me, and it was definitely more "how I fit into the culture" rather than how my work style. You get asked things like, "sell me this pen" and in-depth questions about your pets.
Very disorganized in the beginning but I finally got in touch with the right person and the remainder of the process was seamlless. They were willing to take a chance on me and I really appreciated that
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart (Plant City, FL)
Interview
Short and sweet. Offered job same or next day. Single interview and consisted of easy to answer questions and was with 2 managers, at the same time. Job was amazing! I only left due to a major car accident that caused a horrible back surgery.
