The interview process was quick. I applied on 03/06/2022, and received an email on 03/07/2022 to do am assessment, which I did the same day, and was relatively easy. On 03/10/2022, I received an invitation to do a video interview, and on 03/14/2022 received an invitation to do an interview with a hiring manager at Progressive.
I did my video interview on 03/16/2022, and it was honestly the most unprofessional interview I have ever been in. This position is work from home, and Progressive states you have to have strong wifi for this position, but the interviewers wifi kept dropping every few minutes, and we had to continuously start over. You’d think they would have their affairs in order as they are doing virtual interviews, but not in this case I suppose.
The interviewer asked if I had graduated from college, and I stated that I did go to college, but did not graduate, and she condescendingly replied, “so just high school then?”, as if I don’t have eleven years of work experience. The questions themselves were not too bad, and the interview was set up for 1 hour and 15 minutes, but it ended up being less than 40 minutes. I didn’t receive an offer, but I can honestly say reading the reviews of people being overworked with little training, no work life balance, and no overtime being offered as this is a salary position, this was a blessing in disguise.
