I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Publicis Sapient (Bengaluru) in Aug 2020
Interview
1st round: online mcq round with 40 java and related technologies ,
2nd round: technical discussion+coderpad round.
The interviewer was rude and technically weak. He prepared a set of question online and started asking like rapid fire. If I could answer some question he would interrupt immidiately and move to next question. When I explained hashmap internally uses linkedlist in bucket and when it crosses a threashold it gets converted into a tree he was angry and started arguementing and cross questioning. Also asked about things that are not in my cv . Then asked randomly questions that has not much use in real life like reentreant lock etc . Some complicated questions like mysql_fetch_array with which i had no experience again. Interview was on teams and suddenly interviewer rudely asked what am I typing!indirectly saying I am copying?! then he told to share screen. typical service based company with zero respect for candidate. Either they can tell to share screen before or not at all. But how dare they ask this kind of baseless question to candidate in a video call! I had a detailed conversation with HR about my skillset yet this kind of random, memorization based question and some input-output quiz. No ds/algo based question. He opened a coderpad for no use lol. I understand people from service background mostly work on support project and has no real skill set. But this interviewer probably spends all the time in preparing for interview and memorizing question himself. And not writing a single line of code. Had HR informed about their such low standard ,I would not have attended the interview.
Easy Ig.
There are mainly 3 rounds.
1. The first round is to build a Full Stack Application using React and Java by internally using a search engine called apache lucene. Its like an open book test and docs are allowed to be reffered. Time line is around 1 day.
2. The second round is on the same application discussion and a leetcode question on LRU cache, which is actually easy.
3. A HR & behavioral round.
