Applied for the position online and the next day was sent an email asking to schedule an in person interview with HR. The following week I did the in person interview with two HR people. Standard first interview questions, but they could not describe the scope of the job. It went well and I was asked to send the HR manager an email to schedule an interview with the CEO. It took 5-7 followup emails from me to get the interview scheduled. I came in and interviewed with the CEO, which took about a hour. I wouldn't call an interview as much as a conversation. Again, I couldn't get a description of what the job entailed, but the CEO told HR to please set up an interview with the other founder of the company. I never was able to do the interview with the other founder, despite another 5-7 followup emails from my self to HR. The last email exchange between me and the HR manager was him telling me he had not forgotten me and they were still looking for candidates for xxx position (which is not the one I had interviewed for). The last I heard from them was a "Sorry, it has been a long day" when I said that xxx position is not what I was interviewing for.
The culture of the company was quite different than any I had experienced before. I wish I had been able to really do the interviews and learn about the company. Instead, what I will remember from the process is the hurried interviews, the lack of clarity on what the position entailed and the complete lack of organization and followup for the entire interview process.
