    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Qbase.

    Interview

I had an initial phone screen with my potential account/project lead. That was a thorough discussion of my career experience and what the nature of the project was. There was some discussion about the US government contract nature of the position and if I had previous government contracting experience. Next, I met with the branch/office director and my potential account/project lead. This was a fairly typical IT application developer type interview. I received more information about Qbase as a company as well as the mission on the government contract. There was discussion how I would be working with employees of the actual contractor who won the project award from the USAF.

So if you put it on your resume make sure you can answer to it.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Qbase.

    Interview

Initial communications was great, the overall process took to long! You have to meet with 4-5 people over that time period. Some of which had nothing to do with the department for which you were interviewing. Some interviews took 10 minutes while others took up to an hour. Interviews also take place in multiple locations from Reston VA, to Springfield, Ohio

    Interview Questions

    • There were not any difficult questions....just having to interview and wait 5 months was the most difficult part. You then have to wait or re-initiate contact to find out where you stand   Answer Question

    Negotiation

    Completely non-negotiaable

    Research & Development Scientist Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Qbase (Dayton, OH) in May 2012.

    Interview

The recruiter found my resume using an online job search website. She sent an email to me and told me briefly about the job requirements and skills required and stuff. Next I was scheduled for an in-person interview at the company location. The on-site interview was very bizarre with 4 people involved. They were all asking me stuff about things which I had not done and not mentioned in my resume. It was derogatory in some sense as they did not care to look at my CV. It seemed like they wanted to prove a point right from the beginning of the interview. I wish they had cared to check my CV and papers before asking me to come over and interview with them. It was a waste of time and gas. I would not have taken the offer even if they had offered it to me. Not the kind of place I want to work, where people do not pay attention to what you say or do
