Role In the Human Resources/People Team Interview

      Aug 30, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Sadly, the multitude of online reviews and press reports suggesting Revolut doesn't look after its people and isn't a pleasant place to work were confirmed by my interview process. The process was outlined to me by various people in their HR team, but turned out to be completely false - expectations, timings and interview formats were constantly changed. I was asked to create a roadmap outlining what I'd do in the role, which was giving away a lot of intellectual capital, and it was never even acknowledged or referenced in one of my interviews. I was interviewed by four people, all of whom asked if I'd be prepared to work weekends, and all of whom asked exactly the same questions. Ultimately, the night before I was supposed to have a final interview, I was told the role was being given to someone internally. No doubt, the roadmap I was asked to create will be used in some capacity and that's just pretty miserable treatment of a candidate - it's like telling an advertising agency you don't like their work so won't pay for it, and then using it anyway. If this is how they treat potential employees, how do they treat their people and customers?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

First question was always to ask if I was a customer, and then if I'd be prepared to work weekends. That aside it the usual, uninspiring stuff.
