One day, all day, where you interview with multiple people in different areas and positions. Long day, but worth it to get it all done at once. Definitely enjoyed talking with everyone I spoke to.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my past experience related to this job.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
The first round interview was via the phone, and then they offered to fly me up to New York. In their NYC office, I went through three interviews (I have heard of some people having four) with various planners in different departments and roles. The interviews were all very straight forward. They want to see that you are analytic in nature and can operate on excel in a fast paced environment. There is an excel/math test as well. I interviewed on a Friday, and was offered the position three days later on that Monday.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY)
Interview
Virtual super day with managers. I had four or five back to back interviews with managers in the business. The interview was not hard...typical behavioral questions like why ross and describe a time you used excel to manipulate big data.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Oct 2020
Interview
The worst interview I have had in my life. It went for 5 hours and 5 different persons from the team kept asking the same behavioral questions. They are a very traditional company that are afraid to take risks and challenges. Would not recommend anyone to go through this process if you’re not 100 percent sure that you want to work for Ross. If you’re a fan of a traditional company, do not have a voice, and likes to stare at an excel screen for 10 hours a day then this job is for you.
